How and Why I Do Instagram Giveaways

Over the time I have been reselling on Instagram, I noticed that giveaways were a trendy subject. I mean who would not want a free pair of shoes or tee shirt. So, on March 14th, 2020 I created my giveaway page for Instagram.

The picture you see below is a screenshot from my both of my Instagram accounts, it features of all the giveaways that I have previously ran.

The reason why I run giveaways is, I profit off of them, and people love them, especially when an expensive item is up for grabs.

How I profit on giveaways is, I follow everyone that pays $20 and then everyone that wants to enter and try and win the shoes/item MUST follow everyone I am. So, I guarantee a set amount of followers to people through the giveaway, then I find 20 separate people to send me $20.00 each and then I find an item to give away for $250 to $300.

So, people pay to gain followers and have a chance to win a pair of shoes that I give away on Instagram Live. If you’re a little confused, don’t worry I was very confused when I first heard of them.

How To Legit Check Sneakers

Kicks Canada

In this video I show you how to use a black light to authenticate your sneakers, of course, your sneakers could have been put in this box, however, I’m assuming that the box you have is the original box that came with the shoes, to begin with.

If there are no visible symbols on the shoe box like in the video and you’re still not sure if the pair is authentic.

Then you can also download this app “legit check by CH” you can use this app to scan the barcode on the box of sneakers, that way you can finalize whether your shoes are authentic or not.

This app also provides comparison pictures for a lot of shoes, so you can compare if your pair looks like a real of fake pair from their pictures provided.

I personally use this app to scan the barcode on suspicious pair’s of shoes I get, if the barcode works and I still am suspicious I compare the picture in the app with the shoe I have.

My First Pair of Nike Air Force Ones

Somehow I have been buying shoes and clothes for a while now and was not able to get a pair of Air Force Ones until just recently.

These Nike Air Force 1s are important to me because I purchased them from Footlocker rather than a reseller who I know that also has the shoe. It’s important because I saved $30 buying them from Footlocker rather than this reseller, and it was a little upsetting to see that his costs were xxx amount.

These are a size 8 womens, and are for a friend of mine who wanted me to source and sell them a new pair or sneakers.

This picture is also going to be my new instagram backdrop, right now my backdrop is my pool, however, I had to take a bunch of pictures of shoes before the pool was closed. So after bringing a mirror outside and experimenting I knew that’s what I wanted to use for taking pictures of my new shoes.

The reflection in the mirror makes it look like the sneaker is in the air or both of the sneakers are there. Meanwhile there is only one sneaker in the picture.

Items NOT for sale (NFS)

Some people buy shoes to wear them, others buy them to instantly resell them, and some people buy them to hold them, in my case I am holding Air Jordan 1 Smoke Greys.

When I say “hold” I mean people will buy a pair or a lot of pairs just to hold onto them, keep them in brand new condition just to sell them for a higher price in the future.

For example, Air Jordan 1’s, Yeezy’s or an in demand and profitable shoe that has a trendy colour way or a unique feature or a celebrity influence will be increasing in price over time. There are so many factors to consider when talking about sneaker resell predictions.

So these shoes below, Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Light Smoke Grey”
had a retail price of $170 usd, they soldout within seconds.

Now as of September 29th, 2020 they are selling for around 260-300 usd (Roughly $400 Canadian) depending the size you’re after. Sizes 7-7.5 are the most expensive sizing in the mens sizes.

In the picture above, are Air Jordan 3 ‘Laser Orange’ with a retail price of around 250-280 Canadian dollars, I expect these shoes to rise significantly in price in the future as these only released in womens sizes.

I usually always post items that I have for sale on my Instagram story first @kixcanada

Both of these pictures were taken in 2020

Unfortunately when I started my Instagram page I didn’t take any screenshots of my account until this past summer, I was motivated to monitor my growth. I decided to do so by screenshotting my Instagram profile every couple of months. I took the first picture in August of 2019, the second was on December 29th and the last two just recently in Febuary 2020

This shoe is important to me as I traded for it for a Gucci hat I used to have. These shoes are my first Air Jordan 1 ‘s and the colour way is so simple but aesthetically amazing. The way these shoes look on my Instagram feed is very nice and has inspired me to focus on buying and selling shoes rather than clothing.

This item and image is important to me due to the fact it’s my first ever OVO x Murakami product. The fact that I was able to get my hands on this piece from the collaboration is amazing. Ovo represents October’s Very Own and was developed in 2012, it’s co-owned by Drake.
